Jacob Tomlin, 11, inspires applause at

Jacob Tomlin is a 13 year old Norwalk Native. Born on March 25, 2004, he is dedicated to empowering young people and building bridges toward equality that emphasizes education, communication and unity. Jacob came to notoriety after the untimely death of his father, Maurice “Moe” Tomlin, Sr who was well known in the basketball community of Connecticut. While speaking to a crowd of individuals from near and far at his dad’s memorial, Jacob’s zeal for encouraging others in the wake of his own personal tragedy shined through. Since the age of 7, he has spoken on religious and public platforms with the goal of uplifting and encouraging all he encounters to be the best that they can be in body, mind and spirit.
Jacob is very active in his church as well as he is in the academically talented program and band at his school. He enjoys history, technology and time with family. He aspires to one day become a clinical child psychologist and owner of several businesses.
